Introduction
Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Examples of different types of personal data are; name, address, telephone number, photographs, social security number or health-related data.
EV-EL is responsible for ensuring that your integrity and personal data are protected when you communicate with us or visit our website. Our privacy policy, which complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Danish data protection legislation, describes how this happens.
We follow the following principles:
We must process your personal data in a legal, fair and transparent manner
- That your personal data is only collected and processed for a specific, express and legitimate purpose
- The collection and processing of your personal data must be sufficient, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the intended purpose.
- that your personal data must be correct and up-to-date
- that your personal data is not stored longer than necessary for the intended purpose or in accordance with the requirements of the law
- that appropriate security measures are implemented to protect your personal data.
EV-EL, with CVR no. 42541559, as the data controller, is responsible for ensuring and checking that the above principles are observed by both EV-EL, our suppliers and partners as well as all bodies to which we transfer your personal data.
How do we process your personal information?
In this section, we describe how we process the personal data that we collect about you when you use our chargers, visit our website or contact us, how we process and share the data, how long the data is stored and how it is protected.
When you use our chargers
For the purpose of providing ultra-fast charging, EV-EL will process information relating to date and time, frequency, location and charging pattern. This information may include name, contact information, address, cost and transaction information. We use third party software (Monta) to manage our chargers, so this information is shared with Monta and therefore the information is stored by Monta or their sub-processors. This includes payment information such as your debit/credit card number, billing address, phone number and installed application information in order to process payments.
Our legitimate interest in collecting the data is, according to the GDPR, that the processing of the data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party and because it is necessary to process prior to entering into a contract.
The data is stored in accordance with our sub-processors’ data security as agreed in contracts with the sub-processors. Charging statistics may be shared in anonymized form with public authorities if required by local regulations and legislation.

If you contact us about our chargers, competitions or business-related topics, we collect the following personal information (provided the information was provided in the email):
– Name, title and information about the company or institution that you represent
– Contact information such as e-mail address, telephone number and address

The purpose of collecting this information is to be able to communicate with you on the subject in question and possibly establish a business relationship. The legal basis for collecting the information is thus legitimate interest.
If your email leads to a business relationship, your personal data will be stored for the duration of the business relationship and for a further 10 years. The reason for the long storage time is legal requirements regarding traceability and storage of all information relating to our research. Personal information that has been submitted without a business relationship being established will not be stored longer than necessary for the purpose of the email, and in practice emails will be deleted once a year.
The purpose of collecting the information is to be able to communicate with you about the content of your email. The legal basis for the processing is your consent, which you can revoke at any time. Transfers to 3rd country
As a general rule, EV-EL does not transfer data to third countries. If this happens, an assessment must be made prior to any transfer that the transfer takes place in a secure manner and that the processing is in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and other specialty laws. For countries which, according to the EDPB (European Data Protection Board), are not covered by an adequacy decision, we have established secure transfer mechanisms such as signing EU standard clause agreements in accordance with the EDPB’s recommendations.
