Up to 240 kW or 20 km per minute

The fast chargers have two CCS charging connectors for two simultaneous charges. These connectors can be used for DC (direct current) charging of most cars.

Up to 240 kW can be charged on one plug, but the power is automatically distributed to cars charging at the same time depending on how much power the cars’ batteries can charge. If a car is plugged in at a time when another car is already charging at a high power level, it will be allocated the excess capacity, which will increase as more capacity becomes available and the car’s own electrical system allows it.

Charging at 120 kW for an average of 15 minutes is 30 kWh, which, depending on speed and weather conditions, is equivalent to most cars travelling around 150 km. This is realistic for many new electric cars, but the fast charger can do up to twice that.

Unfortunately, the Nissan Leaf and other cars with ChaDeMo cannot use these connectors and therefore cannot be charged on EV-EL’s fast chargers.

Hans Knudsens Plads, Østerbro, Copenhagen

EV-EL’s fast charger in Østerbro in Copenhagen is located at Hans Knudsens plads – a traffic hub at the end of the Helsingør motorway, which continues towards the centre of Copenhagen along Lyngbyvej/Nørre Allé with good access from Nørrebro via Jagtvej and Rovsinggade, or Østerbro via Øster Allé and Jagtvej or via Vognmandsmarken. The centre is open for charging 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The stand is located in the southeast corner of the square by Æbeløgade and Østerbro Tandlægecenter. There is a public toilet on the square, and there are good shopping opportunities nearby, with Lidl, 365Discount, Rema 100, Netto and Føtex a few minutes walk from the stand. Coffee can be bought in the kiosk on the square, which also offers a classic Chinese grill.

At Struer Fri Fag- og Højskole, Vesterled 7, Struer

(Planned May/June 2023)

EV-EL’s fast charger in Struer is located in the car park at Struer Fri Fag- og Højskole. Everyone is welcome to charge at the school 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The site is just off the main road 11, Holstebrovej, with access from Vesterled, which you can easily turn into, both when coming from the north and south. There is immediate proximity to shopping at Netto and Lidl, which are on the other side of the road and less than 50 metres away is McDonald’s.

EV-El’s fast charger in Struer is carefully placed, reflecting EV-El’s belief that fast chargers don’t just belong on the motorway, but that they should be where ordinary people need them in their everyday lives and provide an alternative to buying their own charger.

It is also an offer to tourists and people travelling through to take a charging stop before continuing their journey – whether it is north to Klitmøller (75 km), north or south of the Limfjord to Aalborg (160 km/130 km), south to Fredericia (150 km), Esbjerg (120 km), Padborg (230 km) or towards Odense (200 km) and Copenhagen (360 km). You can also choose to stay and enjoy the fantastic surroundings in Struer and the surrounding area.
